A simulation of black hole accretion flows

About the CTA: The Center for Theoretical Astrophysics works on outstanding problems in theoretical astrophysics, general relativity, and cosmology. Members of the Center work out of Loomis Laboratory of Physics, the Astronomy Building, and NCSA/Beckman Institute at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and collaborate with scientists worldwide.

Graduate and Postdoc Research: The CTA is always looking for bright enthusiastic researchers to help unlock the mysteries of the universe. Look here or here if you are considering graduate school in theoretical astrophysics.

Undergraduate Research Opportunities: The CTA is seeking talented students interested in joining our Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) team in theoretical astrophysics and general relativity. The research will focus on forefront problems requiring supercomputer calculations and visualization for solution. Look here for more information.
