Doctoral Student in Education

I am a doctoral student in Curriculum & Instruction, with emphasis on the study of Secondary & Tertiary Science Education. I received my B.S. in Engineering Physics from UIUC in 2001. I then received my M.S. in Teaching of Physics from UIUC in 2004, advised by Gary Gladding. My current research focuses on the impact of instructional methods on introductory physics students' cognitive processes and their understanding of forces; my doctoral study is advised by Fouad Abd-El-Khalik.
